Index 500 Analysis

Sector by sector, then stock by stock: which sectors have fallen hardest over six months, and which names inside them are showing a confirmed reversal or breakout.

About the Index 500 Analysis

The Index 500 Breakout Scanner checks every stock in the Nifty 500 and ranks them by an opportunity score. It looks for base breakouts with volume, breakout retests, moving-average reclaims, falling wedges, higher highs and higher lows, and reversals from support.

Stocks are grouped by sector first, so you can see where weakness is concentrated and where reversals are starting, before looking at individual names. Every setup shows its working: the pattern found, how well the chart fits it, the level that matters, and where the idea would be wrong.

How to use it

  1. 1Open the scanner and start a scan. It reads daily prices for about 500 stocks and takes a minute or two.
  2. 2Start with the sector table to see which sectors have fallen most over six months and where patterns are appearing.
  3. 3Open a stock to see its pattern, score breakdown, support and resistance, and a setup checklist that says in words which conditions hold today.
  4. 4Check the market regime before acting. Breakouts follow through more often when the broad market is trending up.
  5. 5Size the trade with the Position Size Calculator so a wrong call costs only what you planned.

Frequently asked questions

What does the breakout scanner look for?

Chart patterns on daily prices: base breakouts on above-average volume, retests of a breakout level, reclaims of the 20 and 50-day EMAs, falling wedges, higher highs with higher lows, and bounces from support. Each pattern is scored and combined with trend, momentum and volume into one opportunity score.

How fresh is the data?

A scan uses daily prices, so results describe the last completed trading session. Run a new scan after the market closes for the latest picture.

Is a stock on the list a buy recommendation?

No. The scanner lists setups worth studying. Every score is a calculation from past prices, not a prediction or advice, and many setups fail.

Do I need an account?

No. The scanner is free and works without signing in.
