The Market Dashboard tells you whether the broad Indian market is bullish, neutral or bearish before you look at any single stock. Most stocks move with the index, so a strong chart in a falling market often fails.
It scores the Nifty 50 and the Nifty 500 on five checks each: price above the 20-day EMA, price above the 50-day EMA, the 20 EMA above the 50, the 50 EMA above the 200, and a structure of higher highs and higher lows. The total out of 10 decides the regime.
A simple label for the conditions your trade lives in - bullish, neutral or bearish - based on where the major indices sit against their moving averages and whether they are making higher highs and higher lows.
Five points per index for the Nifty 50 and Nifty 500: price above the 20 and 50-day EMAs, the 20 EMA above the 50, the 50 EMA above the 200, and higher highs with higher lows. The two scores add up to a total out of 10.
It uses daily closing prices, so it changes once per trading day.
